Guillermo “Billy” Murchison was born in Buenos Aires in 1941. After attending several bilingual schools in Argentina he studied at McGill University in Montréal where he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree, and later became a Canadian Chartered Accountant, working for three years as an auditor. Back in Argentina he took over the running of a family company in the stevedoring business in the Port of Buenos Aires. He successfully developed this company and diversified it. He also developed an agricultural concern. At the same time he participated in different NGO′s, especially in education and helping the poor, and in different professional associations. Married to Mary Dere Corbett they have four children and eleven grandchildren. This book is the story of his life written for his next generations.
